1. General Agreement By booking a vehicle with Lapog Cabs (via website, phone, or WhatsApp), you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all local, outstation, and one-way trips.
2. Booking & Payments
- Advance Token: To confirm a booking, a nominal advance payment (token amount) is required. The booking is not confirmed until this advance is received.
- Balance Payment: The remaining fare must be paid directly to the driver during the trip or upon reaching the destination. We accept Cash, UPI, or Bank Transfer.
- Tolls & Taxes: All toll taxes, state entry taxes, and parking charges are extra and must be paid by the customer directly at the toll booth/parking counter unless a specific “All-Inclusive” package was booked.
3. Meter & Distance Calculation
- Outstation Trips: For round trips, the distance is calculated from Garage to Garage (Sector 17, Chandigarh).
- Minimum Billing: For outstation bookings, a minimum billing of 250 km per day applies (or as specified in your specific package).
- One-Way Drops: One-way fares are fixed rates. Any detours or extra stops requested by the customer will incur additional charges per kilometer.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
- Free Cancellation: You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time for a full refund of your advance token.
- Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pickup time will result in the forfeiture of the advance token.
- No-Show: If the customer does not show up at the pickup location and does not contact us, the full advance is forfeited.
5. Driver & Vehicle Policy
- Night Charges: A driver night allowance (typically ₹250–₹500) applies if the driver drives between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM or stays overnight at an outstation location.
- AC Usage: The air conditioner (AC) will be switched off in hilly areas (like Shimla/Manali) to prevent engine overheating and ensure safety.
- Vehicle Breakdown: In the rare event of a vehicle breakdown, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative vehicle. If we cannot provide a replacement, we will refund the amount for the uncovered distance. We are not liable for any consequential loss due to delays.
6. Passenger Conduct
- Prohibited Items: Smoking and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited inside the cab.
- Cleanliness: Passengers are requested to keep the vehicle clean. A cleaning fee (up to ₹1,000) may be charged if the vehicle is soiled or damaged by passengers (e.g., vomiting or spillage).
- Luggage: Please adhere to the luggage limits for your vehicle type (Hatchback/Sedan/SUV). Lapog Cabs is not responsible for any damage to fragile items or loss of luggage.
7. Force Majeure Lapog Cabs is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to traffic jams, road blocks, police strikes, natural calamities, or severe weather conditions.
8. Jurisdiction Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chandigarh, India.
